By Michelle Malkin  •  June 15, 2005 08:51 AM

Meanwhile, Afghan clerics want an apology for Koran abuse (does this include the abuses by the detainees themselves?)

And the Senate Judiciary Committee will hold a hearing today on Gitmo so we can hear more ululating like this from Sen. Pat Leahy:

Leahy said in the Senate on 13 June that Guantanamo is “a national disgrace” and an international embarrassment” to the United States as well as “a festering threat” to U.S. security. “[The stain of] Guantanamo has become the primary recruiting tool for our enemies,” Leahy said.

Update: Rand Simberg with a WWII spoof and here’s a classic Iowahawk flashback from last month. And Chris Muir’s Day by Day takes aim.

Fausta at The Bad Hair Blog takes a closer look at French journalist’s Florence Aubenas’s treatment by terrorists and does a compare-and-contrast.

Update II
: Hearing coverage here.
