NO, IT’S STILL NOT MICHELLE

By Lorie Byrd  •  August 22, 2005 02:24 AM

For those checking in for their Monday morning Malkin fix, only to find me instead, I feel your pain. I miss Michelle, too, but she really does deserve a vacation, and I am incredibly thankful for the opportunity to blog here. As if guest blogging for Michelle Malkin was not challenging enough, the excellent job that Betsy Newmark did throughout the weekend made it even more so. (At least it makes my frequent linking to Betsy easier. Instead of hyperlinks, I can just say “see below.”)

For those who do not regularly read Polipundit, let me provide a brief introduction. I am a stay-at-home mom who has been a political junkie for as long as I can remember. I have been part of the group blog, Polipundit (which you should be reading at least once a day), for the past 16 months. Some highlights of my time in the blogosphere can be found here, and in this column at Townhall.com (near the end), I discuss how blogging has changed my life. I find myself writing most often on stories about the war in Iraq, media bias and whatever the “controversy of the day” is.

I am sure that there are some issues on which I disagree with Michelle, but I cannot think of one right now. Though they may often be similar to hers, my opinions are my own, so any posted here should not be interpreted as being endorsed by Michelle Malkin.
