By Michelle Malkin  •  November 7, 2005 06:25 PM

Bill Roggio at The Fourth Rail brings you news on our latest military offensive in Iraq, which is aimed at closing down the border crossing to Syria and destroying al Qaeda in the town of Husaybah. One Marine has died. At least 36 insurgents have been killed since the assault began Saturday, and about 200 men have been detained.

More from the American Forces Press Service here.

BTW: The Project Valour-IT fundraising competition to purchase laptops for injured troops recovering from hand and arm injuries or amputations at major military medical centers is still on. Please give what you can.
