PROTEST PHOTO OF THE DAY
An image you probably won’t see on your newspaper’s front page or on the network news (via Yahoo! News/AP):

The Saddam Hussein trial is scheduled to resume Monday, Nov. 28. The banner in background reads: ‘We promise to the Iraqi people that we will smash terrorism.’ The banner is held by supporters of Sunni politician Mathel al Alousi, head of the Iraqi national list, and candidate for the Dec. 15 parliamentary elections. The war crimes trial of Saddam Hussein is scheduled to resume Monday in the wake of a foiled plot to kill the chief presiding judge in the case. Saddam’s lawyers are trying to stall again as Ramsey Clark rides to the dictator’s rescue.
Court TV will air full coverage of trial on a 20-minute delay.
Drudge reports that the White House is prepared to file more charges against Hussein in case of a not guilty verdict.
