A Ca-lame response

NYTimes ombudsman Byron Calame: (Not) looking out for you
A few days ago, I asked NYTimes public editor Byron Calame to explain exactly what he meant when he complained about the Bush administration’s “vicious criticism” of the newspaper’s reckless decision to expose a top-secret terrorist banking data surveillance program. I received a response this afternoon. You will be as underwhelmed as I am, I’m sure:
Translation: It’s so “amply documented” I don’t need to bother citing any of it to you. Trademark arrogance from the newspaper of wreckage.
Thanks for the response!
