CPAC interview with Newt Gingrich
Here’s our second Hot Air video report from CPAC–An interview with Newt Gingrich during his visit to bloggers’ row.
Topics covered: illegal and legal immigration, the Diversity Visa Lottery (he’d kill it), Visa Express and Saudi visas, the matricula consular card (he said he doesn’t know about it), the war, and defeating Hillary Clinton. My biggest regret in the interview is that I didn’t immediately respond to Newt’s dissing of the Swift Boat Vets. If he thinks he can win conservative hearts and minds by trashing their honor and their accomplishments during the last presidential campaign, he isn’t as smart as so many think he is.

In the interview he sounded pretty creditable. He did duck Mrs. Malkin on the Matricula card. She should have taken his knees out with that microphone! Again, he sounds like he knows everything. Maybe he’s good at talking in sound bites.
