Site maintenance underway: Update – Back in business!
Apologies if you haven’t been able to access the site over the weekend. We’ve been undergoing maintenance and are in the middle of some server upkeep.
Update: Should be back in business. Let me know if you encounter any problems, glitches. Thanks!
Apology for disgusting ads
Thanks to all the readers who alerted me that some disgusting ads are appearing on this site. I have alerted my ad representative, who handles all the ads on the site, and hope to have it resolved soon.
End of the trail for See-Dubya

Update 11:05pm Eastern. Don’t want to jinx it, but it looks like Hot Air’s back up. Maybe this post was the trick!

About this “hate site”
My excellent comment moderator Rick Moran responds to nutroots accusations that MichelleMalkin.com is a “hate site” based on a few comments. Read the whole thing.
I second everything Rick says, and would add a few things:
If you’re going to get into it, the qualitative difference between blog comments on liberal blogs and my blogs is [...]

WEEKEND UPDATE: SKUNKED!
The fishing report:
Me: 0. Zip. Nada.
My five-year-old daughter: 10 bluegill and crappie. No keepers.
Me: A very unlucky Texas rig (lizards and pumpkin plastic worms).
Daughter: Nightcrawlers under a Winnie-the-Pooh bobber (can’t beat it).
The fish that got away: An at least 6 lb. largemouth bass that I will be sobbing about for the next 5 days.
A few [...]
BELATED HAPPY FATHER’S DAY
Hope all you daddies had a great one.
A year in the life of a blog
This blog turned one last week! (BTW: Congrats to Karol at Alarming News, which turned the Big 3 today.)
First, some blogiversary expressions of gratitude:
Special thanks to the following people for their warm welcomes, words of advice/encouragement, and early links during mm.com’s incipient days: John, Paul, and Scott at Power Line, John Hawkins at Right Wing [...]
REMEDIAL ENGLISH
I committed the unforgivable gaffe of using “myself” instead of “me” in my last column, and was glad to catch flak from many eagle-eyed readers. If only one of them had been my editor! Mark Goldblatt at NRO, who teaches remedial English, has a related pop quiz. I missed #7.
TRACKBACK SPAM
Power Line disabled trackbacks after receiving spam from pornographers. We’re beginning to have the same problem here (in many older entries). Let me know what you think I should do.
HAPPY APRIL 15th

FLYING SOLO
Hey all–Back at my hotel in NYC after subbing for John Kasich on “Heartland.” Was honored to fill in for him. The Political Teen has video here. (Highlights at Trey Jackson.) The show hummed along pretty smoothly until the end, I thought, especially for an ink-stained wretch like me getting used to the hosting thing. [...]

MY P2P POST SPAWNS AN IMITATOR
Picking up where I left off in this post, Rob Sama uses P2P to find an Excel spreadsheet containing 13 names, addresses, salaries and social security numbers. “Not a bad grab for about 5 minutes of work,” Sama notes.
