The digs at FOB Justice
My HotAir.com colleague Bryan Preston and I are back from Iraq. Thanks to Allah and Ian for holding down the fort at HA and thanks much to guest-bloggers Mary Katharine Ham, See-Dubya, and the Big Lizards for filling in here during my absence. Be sure to bookmark their blogs.

Pot, meet kettle: Olbermann jokes
about severing O’Reilly’s hamstring
I don’t like to mud wrestle, but sometimes the slime-flingers need to be held accountable. All week, MSNBC host Keith Olbermann and his left-wing vassals have tried to blame female conservative commentators for one nutball’s fake anthrax letter attacks. Reportedly, the suspect was a Free Republic.com member whose pseudonymous profile noted that he “worshipped” Ann [...]
“WORST PERSON IN THE WORLD”
The obscene, abusive, unhinged jerk Keith Olbermann earns his own prize.
His book, “Worst Person in the World,” is due out in September.
The “worst person” designation, he told a reporter last December, is “for somebody who’s wrong and egregiously stupid and abusing their own position.”
Takes one to know one.

The moonbats strike back
The anti-troops brigade at UC Santa Cruz has now called in the left-wing blogosphere’s kings of hate to attack me. For what? For linking to a Students Against War press release bragging about booting military recruiters off campus and for re-posting publicly available contact info for the SAW press machine.
See here and here for background.
The [...]

According to the excerpts released Sunday, Bush will hail Thursday’s vote as “the beginning of something new: constitutional democracy at the [...]
NOT HARDLINE ENOUGH FOR MSNBC?
Is liberal former San Francisco Supervisor Angela Alioto not extreme enough for MSNBC’s Keith Olbermann?
According to Alioto, after refusing to call for Bill O’Reilly’s outright sacking from the FOX News Channel over recent comments about the city, she was bumped from “Countdown”.

BLOGGERS, “REAL JOURNALISTS,” AND FALSE DICHOTOMIES
Jack Shafer does a great job ripping apart David Shaw’s sloppy, wrong-headed blogger-bashing column.
I have only one point to add–namely, that the neat division between “bloggers” on the one hand and “journalists” on the other is not as cut and dried as Shaw seems to think. As Radley Balko has noted, most of the top [...]
Ambush journalism… or my evening with caveman Chris Matthews
Here’s a peek behind the cable TV curtain. It’s not pretty.
So, my publicist arranges for me to go on MSNBC’s Hardball with Chris Matthews on Thursday night to talk about my recent columns on the FBI and national security profiling and my new book. Despite the show’s basement ratings, we figure it’s a good opportunity [...]
