Waldo Canyon fire update: Double rainbow over Colorado Springs; Meanwhile, Utah’s Alpine fire rages

By Michelle Malkin  •  July 3, 2012 09:57 PM

After a long-prayed-for rainstorm this afternoon, this just appeared over the Colorado Springs skies:

I’m confident there wasn’t a dry eye across the city. Certainly not in my household.

Please continue to keep all our friends and neighbors who lost everything in the Waldo Canyon Fire in your prayers.

Help Colorado Now is still your best resource for ways to help.

Tomorrow, there will be an Independence Day benefit concert at World Arena — A Community Rises — organized by community leaders from all parts of the political spectrum. Issac Slade of The Fray will be a featured performer and all proceeds will benefit wildfire victims.

Or rather: SURVIVORS.

We are so proud, grateful, and honored to be part of this amazing community.

I have set my rainbow in the clouds, and it will be the sign of the covenant between me and the earth. – Genesis 9:13

As I have noted over the past few weeks, we are not out of the woods by any means.

In Utah, the Alpine fire is raging and evacuations are under way. Stay safe and vigilant, my Western neighbors and friends.
